Fit for a Princess with TGF

Hello Everyone!
Just popping in with a quick card to share with you all...

First of all, I'd like to apologize for the photo quality.  As some of you have probably noticed, I haven't been blogging as much as usual.  I've been going through a breakup from a 7 year relationship and my life has been turned upside down!  It's DEFINITELY for the better but, my life has been CRAZY!  On May 7th, not only did I start school, I also found out that I was approved to move into the place I wanted on the 15th....well, with everything going on in my life, I didn't get into the place quite as soon as I had hoped and I just finished moving two days ago and have not yet found and unpacked my camera and photo tent...I still have SO much unpacking to do and I have a school assignment due tomorrow and two midterms next week...YIKES!

Anyway, I should get onto the card....
I used TGF's ADORABLE Princess No. 4.  I'm sure all of you have been in a pinch for a quick card at some time or another and I wanted to show you that you can create a cute quick card using TGF stamps and the Embossing Resist technique.  I don't know about you, but, it seems like half of the time I put into making a card is often spent on colouring the image and this is a great way to get around that!  I simply stamped the image with Versamark, heat embossed it, cut it out with Spellbinders Classic Ovals, and then sponged it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Spun Sugar.

Anyway, thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Stamping!

Sparkle Creations Challenge #79: May Flowers

Hello everyone!
I hope your week is off to a great start so far!

I have some exciting news to share with you....I was asked to guest design for Sparkle Creations this month!

Today we have a challenge for you...May Flowers!

Instead of using flower embellishments, I decided to use an image with flowers in it...

Here's what I came up with:
I used Cherry Blossom Rin from Sparkle Creations.  Isn't she SO cute?!  Well, if you have been following me for a while...you may know that I've spent time in Japan and have a bit of a soft spot for all things Japanese...so, of course, I ADORE all of the Rin stamps from SCRS!

I used some retired papers from the Basic Grey Boxer collection. I coloured Rin up with Copics (C3, C5, C7, C9, E50, E51, E53, R02, E55, E57, E59, B95, B97, B99, R24, R27, R29, E44, Y21, Y23, Y26)) and paper-pieced her dress.  I then cut the image out with Spellbinders Classic Circles, sponging it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Old Paper.  I added some machine stitching and finished off the card with a seam binding bow and some pearls.

Anyway, head on over to the Sparkle Creations Blog to see the challenge details and check out what the other girls came up with!

I hope you'll play along!

Happy Stamping!

Cheeky Inspiration

***This is my second post today.  Please click here to see the Flourishes Bring Back Beautiful Challenge Post!***

Hi everyone!
Well, I hope your week is off to a great start!

I just wanted to pop in and share a cute card that I made using Cheeky Geeky from The Greeting Farm!
I think this would be the perfect card to give that special teacher!

Here it is:
I used papers from the MME Miss Caroline Dilly Dally 6x6 Paper Pad.  Cheeky Geeky was stamped on White PTI cardstock with Memento Ink and coloured using Copic Markers (E55, E57, E59, E50, E51, E53, YR14, YR16, YR18, BG11, BG13, BG15, C00, C1).  To finish it all off, I did some stitching, added some twine from The Twinery in Caribbean and a Vintage Button from PTI.  The sentiment is from the Hippie Chic stamp set from Market Street Stamps and was stamped in SU! Classic Ink in Cajun Craze.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping!

Here's what I came up with:
My favourite flowers are orchids...especially phalaenopsis or "moth" orchids so, I decided to use the Flourishes From the Garden stamp set.  The papers are from the MME Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks 6x6 Paper Pad.  I stamped the orchid image on Flourishes Classic White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured it using Copic Markers (Colour Collections pictured below).  I added some stitching and embellished this card with some seam binding, pearls, and some Ivory Scalloped Lace Trim.

I used the following Copic Marker Colour Collections from Flourishes:

I used Iwona Palamountain's Sketchbook Saturday Sketch #58:

Anyway, I hope you'll join us, this month, for the Bring Back Beautiful Challenge over at the Flourishes Blog...I can't wait to see all of your BEAUTIFUL entries!
