DYSU #61 - Things with WINGS

Hi everyone and welcome to a brand new challenge at DYSU!
This week, we want to see THINGS WITH WINGS on your projects!

We have two great sponsors:
Winner's Choice of 6 Digital Images

6 copic ciao marker (North/South America)
Martha Stewart punch (rest of the world)

Here is my creation:
This week, I decided to use this FABULOUS chicken stamp set called Get Well Chick from Paper and Such!  This is actually a sneak peek since this set will not be released until March 9th!  The sentiment is normally a bit wider and only two lines of text but, I used selective inking to make it fit the space I had.  I coloured the image with Copics (C00, C1, C3, E11, E13, E15, YR12, YR13, YR16, YG93, YG95, E40, E41, W0, W2) and paper-pieced the cute little hens.  The papers are from the Garden Variety 6x6 Paper Pad from Cosmo Cricket.  I cut out the image with Spellbinders Petite Ovals and sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Old Paper.  I then matted the main image with Spellbinders Labels 10.  I did some stitching on the card and added some Kaisercraft Pearls in Latte, some twine from the Twinery in Charcoal, and a PTI Vintage Button in Terra Cotta Tile, and that's that!

I just ADORE these sweet little hens and this humorous sentiment and it sure has been a HIT with the rest of the DT gals at DYSU...I hope you all like it, too!  If you DO like it, watch out for the Release Day Blog Hop at the Paper and Such Design Blog on March 9th as one LUCKY winner will get the ENTIRE release!

I am also entering this card into the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge #158 (FTTC158 - Country Comfort)

Anyway, head on over to DYSU to see what the other girls came up with and to link up your project!  I look forward to seeing what you create!

HUGS!

All Around Wonderful...

Hello and Happy Leap Day Everyone!
I've got a couple of cards to share today using stamps from The Greeting Farm!

Let's get started:
For this card, I used the Miss Anya Garland stamp set from The Greeting Farm and papers from the MME - Six by Six - Vanity Fair 6x6 Paper Pad.  I coloured Miss Anya with Copics (Hair: E15, E17, E19; Skin: E50, E51, E53, R30; Camisole & Shoes: BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78; Flowers: BG72, BG75, RV21, RV23, RV25, YR12, YR14, YR16) and paper-pieced her dress.  I finished it all off with some pearls in Bliss from Kaisercraft, some twine from The Twinery in Pink Sorbet, and a Vintage Button in Simply Chartreuse from PTI.

I used this CPS sketch for inspiration:

For this second card, I used the MME Six by Six Vanity Fair paper pad again.  I used Spellbinders Grand Labels 23 to create the card base, folding it in half.  I used the Lucky Bunnies clear stamp set from TGF to stamp this cute bunny (which I coloured with copics: W0,W2, BG72, BG75, BG78, R30; flower: RV63, RV66, RV69 ) and sentiment (stamped in SU! Rich Razzleberry Classic Ink).  I then cut the image out with a Classic Circles Spellbinders and matted it with a piece of cardstock cut out with the Spellbinders Scalloped Circles, added some twine in Honeydew from The Twinery and added a PTI Vintage Button in Scarlet Jewel and voila!

Don't forget that the FABULOUS new March Release stamps will go live at the TGF Store in just a few short hours!

Anyway, thanks for stopping by today...
I hope you enjoyed your stay!

Paper and Such Challenge: Paper-piecing

Hey everyone!
Welcome to another bi-weekly challenge at Paper and Such!
This time around, we want to see you do some paper-piecing!

Here's what I made:
I used the Song In My Heart stamp set from Paper and Such and paper-pieced it using papers from the Lime Twist - Life of the Party 6x6 Paper Pad.  The beaks and feet on the birds were coloured with Copics (YR14, YR16, YR18) and I finished it all off with a doily, some pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty, and a seam binding bow.

Of course, there is also a prize up for grabs for one lucky winner:

Anyway, I hope you'll join us over that the Paper and Such Design Blog for more inspiration from the rest of the design team and also to link up your creation!
I can't wait to see your FABULOUS entries!
