I am blessed to call you mother...

My mom is such an amazing mother and I wanted this card to express those feelings to her...She is the most selfless, sweet, and kind person I know (and I'm not the only one who thinks so).  I truly do feel blessed to have her as my mom...I definitely won the lottery when I was born to such awesome parents!  I always try to spoil my parents..especially my mom, whenever I have the opportunity or reason and this mother's day is no exception...I spent A LOT of time on this card...it's my first really shabby chic creation and I think it turned out well...I know my mom will appreciate it regardless.  As for a gift from my boyfriend and I, my mom is getting  a Tim Holtz Vagabond to replace her Cuttlebug, some nestabilities and all of the adaptors needed to use them with the Vagabond...My brother's and I also each bought her a beautiful wooden hanging basket (three in total)....I honestly wish I could do even more for her...I don't feel like anything I could ever do would repay either of my parents for all of the love they've given us and the sacrifices they made throughout the years (and still do make) so we could eat well, play hockey, ski, travel, pursue our dreams, etc...For that, I will be forever grateful.

To all of the amazing moms out there, I hope you have an amazing Mother's Day and that your children and spouse make you feel special, loved, and appreciated today!

So, here is my card:

I got the colour scheme from The Shabby Tea Room and drew even more inspiration from the inspiration photo...I probably would never have used the wood grain if not for the inspiration photo...I also used soft florals (one print is almost like a toile), pearls, eyelet border punch, crocheted lace and I used my sew easy to add stitches...all this, was inspired by the photo:

For this card, I used the current Mojo Monday Sketch:

Your card for your Mom is absolutely beautiful. I am sure she loved it. I loved reading how blessed you feel for all the love and sacrifices you've received from your folks. I can relate. My father passed away a month ago and we miss him terribly, so treasure each day honey! hugs Sharon
