DYSU #60 - Distress

Hello Everybody and welcome to a new challenge at DYSU!  This week, we want to see you guys do some DISTRESSING on your projects!

This week, we have 3 FABULOUS sponsors:

Winner's Choice of 7 Digital Images

£10 voucher

Winner's Choice of 5 Digital Images

It may sound strange but, I actually found this challenge a bit difficult since I don't usually do too much in the way of distressing...at least not these days...

Here is what I came up with:
I had this pretty digital image to use from Bugaboo Stamps which I coloured with Copics (R30, R32, BG10, BG11, YR14, YR16).  I distressed all of the panels with Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Old Paper, Frayed Burlap) then sewed all of the pieces together with my Janome Sew Mini.  I then distressed the edges using my fingernail and mounted it on a card base which had also been sponged with Distress Inks and added a few adhesive pearls in Chino from Kaisercraft.  Sew simple!  Ok...maybe it wasn't quite as simple as I make it sound since I was having some MAJOR problems with my Janome Sew Mini jamming...ugh...sewing is NOT my strong point, LOL!

Anyway, head on over to the DYSU Blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with and perhaps you can join in, too? ;)

Hope you have an AMAZING week!
HUGS!

I haven't tried Old Paper/Frayed Burlap combo for sponging, but I will now. It looks great together. I LOVE this card. It looks beautiful!

Naomi-that is gorgeous!! I was just saying to another blogger how I need to put a card together that doesn't have a colored image on it. This is wonderful inspiration!
