Here is my card for this week:

A MUCH needed Christmas card...I tell ya, I really NEED to get my butt in gear and finish my Christmas cards!  Maybe I'll make more similar to this since, aside from a bit of colouring, it'd be a snap to recreate and relatively inexpensive, too!  I'm excited because I have REALLY been wanting to be able to sew on my cards (this one could've used some stitching for sure) but, I don't have a sewing machine....Well, on Black Friday, I ordered a Janome Sew Mini from Hancock's Fabric online and it's supposed to arrive at the Mailbox in Lynden, WA tomorrow and I'm going to go pick it up, YAY!!!  I have heard and read GREAT things about it and I CAN'T WAIT to get it set up and give it a whirl!

I used this GORGEOUS stamp set by Flourishes (Christmas Candles) which I won in Stacy Morgan's blog candy back in October.  I cannot say enough about how BEAUTIFUL all of Flourishes stamps are...they're classic, timeless, and simply STUNNING!  I am probably their BEST customer, haha...but, I have been SUPER fortunate to win many sets as well.  The patterned paper is from MME Lost & Found Christmas...such a classy Christmas collection!  For a detailed Supply List, please see below.

Anyhow, I really hope you come and join us for this one...it's a fun and easy one this week and there are so many things you could do with it!  I can't wait to see all of your fabulous projects!

I am entering this card into the following challenge:
- One Crazy Stamper - December Challenge - Christmas/Holiday

Supply List:

Cream of the Crop at Market Street Stamps!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share that my card was chosen as one of The Cream of the Crop over at Market Street Stamps for the month of November!

I actually won my first MSS stamp set (Comfort Food) during their last release blog hop back in September and this was the first card that I ever made with their stamps.  I am SO thrilled that they liked it!  I have to admit that since then, I have become hooked!  Their designs are cute and playful with a sense of humour, yet, clean and stylish.  They are made of high quality photo polymer that has a peachy tinge....they're the only stamps like this that I've used.  They are smoother and a bit firmer than other high quality photo polymer but, they still leave a beautiful crisp impression and I don't know for sure but, they seem HIGHLY stain-resistant, which I LOVE (I'm a little OCD about keeping my stamps clean)!  So, in other words...you're probably going to be seeing A LOT more of their images around my blog in the future...

They actually have some sneak peeks going on right now over at their blog for their December release and let me tell you...the three that they sneak peeked yesterday look GORGEOUS...I can't wait for them to give us some peeks of the rest tomorrow!

Anyway, here is another peek at my card:

For more details on this card and a detailed list of supplies, please go to the original post here.
Anyway, I hope that all of my American friends had an AMAZING long weekend and hopefully got some good deals during the Black Friday sales...I know I did, hehe...

Thanks for stopping by!

RTB85 - Thank You/Grateful

Hi Everyone,
After participating in one of the challenges over at Raise The Bar a couple of weeks ago, I was asked to guest design for this week's challenge.  In honour of American Thanksgiving this past Thursday, the theme is Thank You/ Grateful.

Here is what I came up with:

I used the colour inspiration from the current CR84FN Challenge # 43.  The colours are brown, tan, and green. The only exception is the figs which I coloured purple but, for some reason, the brown DP that I matted the main image with looks sort of purple at the top of the card...this is just an illusion...

I also used the current Deconstructed Sketch #28:

I have A LOT to be thankful for...a wonderful man who is giving and is a great cook, an awesome and supportive family, great friends, a comfortable life, two of the cutest, cuddliest, most lovable boy cats, Tai & Mischa.....and I've also been incredibly LUCKY in Blogland these past few months and have won a TON of stuff by participating in challenges, blog hops, and giveaways.  I have been getting A LOT of HAPPY MAIL this past while....This is just one more thing that I'm VERY THANKFUL for!

Last week, I received a HUGE blog candy from the UBER-talented Flourishes Senior DT member, Stacy Morgan.  She had a giveaway to celebrate her new position on the SCS Dirty Dozen...and can you believe that I WON?!  The prize package included 4 stamp sets from my FAVOURITE stamp company Flourishes (Christmas Candles, Meet Me Under the Mistletoe, Warm Winter Wishes, Christmas Borders), 3 Stamp sets from Clear Dollar Stamps (Antique Ornaments, Pointsettia Joy, Little Bethlehem), Two 6x6 paper pads (EP - Holly Jolly Christmas; Bo Bunny - Blitzen), Spellbinders Holiday Tags, a couple packages of bling, and a HUGE package of 21 GORGEOUS different types of ribbons!

Here is a photo:
THANK YOU, Stacey, I am THOROUGHLY enjoying this AMAZING prize package!

This week, I received 24 brand new Marvy Uchida Le Plume Permanent Alcohol Markers (like Copics) that I won over at Trina's blog.  She had won a set and they accidentally sent her two...when she contacted them, they said she could do whatever she wished with them so she had a giveaway!  I can't wait to give these markers a whirl....my Copic Instructor, Tobi, tried them out and said she LOVED them!

Thank you, Trina!

I also should mention that I won another HUGE blog candy from the SUPER sweet Julie Koerber (Flourishes Senior DT Coordinator), at the beginning of September.  It included 6 Flourishes stamp sets (Sunflowers, Apple of my Eye, Gerbera Daisies, Falling Leaves, Honeycomb, Motherly Love), Impression Obsession - Dream Cling Stamp, two 6x6 paper pads, ribbon, and pearls.

Thank you SO much Julie!

I have actually won SO much stuff since the beginning of summer, that I had wanted to blog about it but, was always waiting for something else to arrive first!  Since I haven't had the chance to do any shout outs, I've compiled a comprehensive list of everything I've won:

June:
July:
- The Greeting Farm - The entire Blush Society Collection - Bonnie, Babette, Hello, Heart (TGF Blog)
August:
September:
- Blog Candy (Julie Koerber's Blog)
October:
- There She Goes - Flying By (Theresa's Blog, There She Goes Birthday Celebration)
- Blog Candy (Stacey Morgan's Blog)
November:
- The Greeting Farm - The Entire November Release Holiday Anya, WS Matilda, CC Saturday, CC Sunday, PLUS CC Piper (TGF SCS Release Chat)
- Blog Candy - Marvy Markers (Trina's Blog)

A BIG thank-you to The Greeting Farm, Flourishes, There She Goes, Paper and Such, Market Street Stamps, Whiff of Joy, Whimsy Stamps, Anyone for Anya, Lily Pad Cards, Iwona Palamountain, Julie Koerber, Stacey Morgan, and Trina!  You all have been SO generous and I TRULY appreciate it!

I made this list from memory and I hope I didn't leave anything/anyone out....sorry for the SUPER LONG post...

Anyway, I hope that you'll hop on over to Raise The Bar and join in on the fun...I can't wait to see what you create!

Well, I have to admit that I had a bit of a tough time with this one!  I had it in my mind that I wanted to use my new Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics from MFT and the felt that I bought from Benzie Bazaar on Etsy...however, it wasn't turning out quite how I wanted!  With a bit of tweaking, though, I think I got it to work....I wasn't very happy with this card at first but, I think it has grown on me.  I definitely think it could use some stitching....I plan on getting a sewing machine very soon...hoping to find a good deal during the Black Friday sales...fingers crossed!

Anyway, I hope that you'll join us this week at DYSU and find a way to incorporate grass into your project.  I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

So, here is my card for this week:

This month over at the Flourishes Blog, Tami Mayberry is in The Limelight and she shared this sketch with us:

I used Tami's sketch along with some FABULOUS Flourishes stamps from the Kids Play set to make this card.  I am a real sucker for punny sentiments and as soon as I saw this image and sentiment, I knew that I HAD to buy this set!  Although, I must admit...I feel this way when I see most Flourishes sets because they just make the most STUNNING stamps!  The DP is from the MME Lost & Found Two - Breeze collection 6x6 paper pad...I have to say that I am IN LOVE with the ENTIRE Lost & Found Two line...each collection is so GORGEOUS and the patterns coordinate with each other brilliantly! Breeze is absolutely PERFECT for masculine cards although I think this card is definitely unisex and I have several friends that I should probably send this card to since, I hate to admit it, but, I've been sort of hermitting myself into my stamp room these past few months....guess I'll be making some more, "hello", cards soon...

Anyway, I truly hope that you'll join us over at DYSU this week and incorporate some blue into your project...I can't wait to see what you come up with!

    Remember...

    Hi Everyone...
Today is Rememberance Day (Veteran's Day down south)...a day to remember how our troops fought for the freedom that we enjoy today.  Every year, I am reminded of just how fortunate we really are....

In honour of Rememberance day, this year, I made this card:

I used this GORGEOUS stamp set that I won over at Chupa's blog, called, "Poppies", by There She Goes Clear Stamps.  Thanks, Chupa!

    In Flanders Fields
    By: John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
             In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
             In Flanders fields.

I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend and that you remember all that you have to be thankful for...

I will be entering this card into this week's Raise The Bar Challenge - Military Theme (anything patriotic)

    Supply List:
Cardstock: Kraft - PTI, Black - Bazzill

    DYSU #45 - Inspired by a Song!

Hi everyone! Welcome back to a new challenge here at DYSU! With the holidays just around the corner, I love using music to set the mood. So, this week, we want your projects to be Inspired by a Song! Please be sure to let us know in your post what your song is. ;)

    This week's Sponsors:

    JLJ Designs
    $10 Gift Certificate

    Di’s Digi Downloads
    Winner’s Choice of 5 Digis

So, my inspiration was "White Christmas"...although, my card didn't turn out to be very white, LOL...it is quite Christmas-y, however!  The sentiment is from the lyrics and I believe that the main image reflects the song...

This ADORABLE image is from Di's Digi Downloads and is called, "Penguins Walk".  I coloured the image with Copic markers and then I used Liquid Applique for all of the fur trim and Viva Decor Pearl Pens in Cream for the snowflakes and on the snowy ground.  I was happy to get to use my new Die-namics File Tab die from MFT...it was the perfect way to make space for a sentiment!  For a detailed Supply List, please scroll to the bottom of this post!

I look forward to seeing your projects that were inspired by song over at DYSU!

    Supply List:
    Cardstock: Kraft - PTI
    DP: Authentique - Wonder
Digi: Di's Digi Downloads - Penguins Walk
